Equipment Required in LED Display Factory & Relevant Precautions

(1) Essential Production Equipment

1.SMT Workshop Equipment
Automatic high-speed mounter, reflow oven, PCB loader & unloader, solder paste printer, solder paste inspector, stencil cleaning machine, static elimination fan.
Function: Complete surface mounting and soldering of LED lamps, ICs, resistors and capacitors to guarantee precise welding of module circuits.
2.Module Testing & Calibration Equipment
Light-on aging rack, point-by-point calibrator, color difference tester, multimeter, high-voltage insulation tester.
Function: Detect dead lamps and cold solder joints after power-on, unify screen brightness and color, and eliminate circuit short circuit and electric leakage.
3.Module Packaging & Processing Equipment
Automatic glue dispenser (for GOB/COB), automatic screw driver, laminating machine, waterproof glue dispenser, heat gun.
Function: Apply glue coating for outdoor module protection, assemble masks and bottom shells, and improve IP rating of dustproof and waterproof.
4.Cabinet Processing Equipment
CNC cutting machine, stamping machine, laser marking machine, spraying production line, drilling & tapping machine, grinding machine.
Function: Cut, punch, spray anti-rust coating and mark logos on steel, die-cast aluminum and stainless steel cabinets.
5.Assembly & Debugging Equipment
Large screen splicing test rack, signal generator, sending & receiving card test fixture, constant temperature aging room.
Function: Assemble modules into cabinets, conduct joint debugging of full screen, and screen defective products through long-time power-on aging.
6.Auxiliary Supporting Equipment

Air compressor, anti-static workbench, ion fan, temperature & humidity detector, forklift, vacuum packing machine, flight case packing tools.


(2) Key Production Precautions

1.Static Control
LED lamps and driver ICs are vulnerable to electrostatic breakdown. The workshop shall lay anti-static floor; all staff must wear anti-static wristbands and clothes. All equipment needs reliable grounding for regular static discharge.
2.Temperature & Humidity Control
Maintain humidity 40%–60% and temperature 22–26℃ in SMT workshop. Low humidity causes static electricity, while excessive moisture leads to damp solder paste and cold solder joints.
3.Material Storage Management
Store LED lamps and PCB boards in sealed moisture-proof packaging; all moisture-proof bags shall be consumed within 24 hours after opening. Classify metal cabinets and cover them to prevent rust.
3.Strict Welding Process Control

Store solder paste under refrigeration and restore room temperature before printing. Set accurate temperature zone curve for reflow oven to avoid cold solder, pseudo solder and burnt LED lamps.

4.Mandatory Standard Aging Test
Modules and complete screens must finish specified aging duration before delivery. Shortened aging time will cause after-sales failures such as dim lamps and flickering screens.
5.Waterproof Sealing Control (For Outdoor Displays)
Ensure no air bubbles or broken glue during dispensing and potting; rubber gaskets shall be intact with qualified glue thickness. Incomplete sealing will lead to water seepage and circuit damage outdoors.
6.Electrical Safety
Lay independent wiring for aging rooms and high-power equipment with leakage protection devices. Random wiring is forbidden; inspect overheating circuits regularly.
7.Dust Prevention
Keep production workshop closed and dust-free. Dust attached to lamp beads will cause dark display and brightness attenuation. Clean equipment and ground daily.
8.Standard Finished Product Inspection
Test brightness, color rendering, waterproof performance, splicing gap and appearance item by item. Isolate defective products for rework and forbid mixed delivery of qualified and unqualified goods.
9.Safety Production Rules
Wear protective gear when operating cutting and stamping machines. Store chemical glue materials in well-ventilated areas, equip full fire-fighting equipment and hold regular fire drills.
