  1. Two mainstream solutions to achieve curved angles

Solution 1: Flexible soft modules for large radian & free-form surfaces (cylinders, waves, spheres)

  1. Adopt flexible FPC circuit boards as base layer with bendable silicone or thin plastic backplates, with lightweight layout of lamp beads and driver ICs.
  2. The modules are bendable, capable of inward concave and outward convex bending with a certain curvature per single panel.
  3. Matched with curved aluminum mounting frames and adjustable hangers, multiple soft modules are spliced to form large-radius curves and 3D corner shapes.
  4. Application scenarios: special-shaped facade transparent screens, cylindrical column displays, wave-shaped internet-famous naked-eye 3D screens.

Solution 2: Spliced rigid hard modules for small fold angles & building corners (right-angle / obtuse curved facades)

  1. Standard rigid LED modules cannot bend by themselves. Curved effects are realized via corner connectors and split curved aluminum frames.
  2. Angle-adjustable latches are installed between adjacent modules. The fold angle (common 90°, 120°, 135° outdoor corner screens) is controlled by adjusting the gap of buckles.
  3. Steel keels are pre-bent according to designed radian. Continuous curved surfaces are formed after hanging all modules.
  4. Application scenarios: mall facade corner screens, building right-angle high-brightness outdoor displays, regular curved advertising curtain walls.


2. Supporting image calibration technology

For both flexible modules and spliced rigid corner structures, curved surface calibration programs are customized based on radian before delivery. The control system calibrates chromatic aberration and perspective by zones to eliminate image stretching and segmentation, ensuring undistorted pictures on curved surfaces.




3. Comparison of advantages and disadvantages

  1. Flexible module bending solutionAdvantages: flexible curvature, support large-curvature full arcs, high modeling freedom.Disadvantages: higher cost, slightly lower protection grade than rigid panels, limited application for long-term large-scale outdoor projects.
  2. Rigid module corner splicing solutionAdvantages: strong waterproof & dustproof protection, durable, cost-effective for mass outdoor projects.Disadvantages: single module non-bendable, only segmented fold angles available, unable to make ultra-small radius arcs.
