What are the steps for the installation and commissioning of LED display screens?
1. Pre-installation Preparation
- Check the specifications and quantity of all accessories including LED cabinets, power supplies, data cables, control cards and mounting frames.
- Clean the installation site, measure mounting positions, and mark horizontal, vertical benchmarks and load-bearing points.
- Pre-test modules by powering on in the workshop in advance to sort out defective parts with dead pixels, color difference and power supply faults.
2. Load-bearing Bracket & Steel Structure Installation
- Fasten expansion bolts or weld load-bearing keels, and repeatedly calibrate the overall level and verticality.
- Assemble decorative outer frames, rear maintenance brackets and limit blocks.
- Install extra waterproof eaves, drainage grooves and lightning protection grounding devices for outdoor screens.
3. Cabinet Splicing & Assembly
- Place or hoist cabinets according to construction drawings and align splicing locks.
- Tighten splicing screws, adjust cabinet flatness and keep uniform gaps between cabinets.
- Connect inter-cabinet data cables and power cords, and separate high-voltage and low-voltage wiring.
4. High & Low Voltage Wiring
- Install the main distribution box equipped with leakage protectors and branch circuit air switches.
- Connect main power lines to each cabinet separately, unify the positive and negative poles, and compress wiring terminals tightly.
- Lay network cables and transmission wires, label each cable. Seal all outdoor joints with waterproof glue and install waterproof connectors.
5. Control System Hardware Installation
- Install the sending card into the industrial control host or controller case.
- Fix receiving cards on the back of cabinets and fully insert power wires and data cables.
- Connect video signal sources: PC, media player, set-top box, camera and other equipment.
6. Sectional Power-on Self-inspection
- Switch on power section by section. Never energize the whole screen at once to avoid short circuit and fire risks.
- Check the lighting status cabinet by cabinet to troubleshoot black screen, messy screen, color loss and partial dark areas.
- Record positions of faulty modules and damaged receiving cards, then replace and repair them.
7. Software Parameter Debugging
- Launch the LED control software, create a new project and input the actual width and height resolution of the screen.
- Automatically scan all receiving cards and draw a cabinet layout consistent with the site.
- Calibrate white balance, color temperature, brightness and grayscale to eliminate color segmentation of the whole screen.
- Set gamma value and refresh frequency, adjust uniformity to remove light and dark dividing lines between cabinets.
- Debug functions such as split-screen playback, timing playback, scrolling text, video and picture playback.

8. Fine Calibration of The Whole Screen
- Correct color difference area by area at close range to eliminate color deviation on splicing seams.
- Set automatic switching mode of high brightness for daytime and low brightness for night for outdoor screens.
- Test the performance of cooling fans, temperature control system, lightning protection and waterproof protection.
9. Long-time Aging & Full Function Test
- Keep the whole screen powered on for 24-hour continuous aging, monitor voltage and temperature in real time, and count newly generated dead pixels.
- Switch multiple signal sources to test smooth picture transition without lag.
- Test remote control, timed power on/off and automatic light sensing dimming functions.
10. Site Finishing, Acceptance & Handover
- Arrange all wire harnesses, fix wire troughs, store redundant cables and clean construction waste.
- Train customers on software operation, simple fault handling and daily maintenance precautions.
- Complete on-site acceptance by both parties, and hand over construction drawings, spare parts and warranty documents.
